Pricing for Toyota GR Yaris Rallye

Toyota Australia advises it has not announced pricing for the GR Yaris Rallye special-edition sports car, due for arrival in dealerships next year.

A spokesperson said any prices being quoted for the Rallye model were purely speculative.

“We understand the excitement surrounding an outstanding pure performance car like GR Yaris, whether in standard or Rallye guise,” the spokesperson said.

“We will not be communicating pricing for the special-edition GR Yaris Rallye to our dealers and the public until closer to the launch.”

Toyota Australia invested heavily in its emerging GR brand, starting presales for the 200kW GR Yaris with a driveaway price of just $39,950 for the first 1,000 cars.

Overwhelming demand resulted in the initial allocation being snapped up inside a week, leading Toyota to release a further 100 cars at a new driveaway price of $44,950.

Next year’s Rallye model will be limited to about 250 cars. It gains circuit-tuned suspension, front and rear Torsen¹ limited-slip differentials and 18-inch BBS®¹ forged alloy wheels with Michelin® Pilot Sport 4S¹ tyres.
